mod podge.

it's gooey, it has a cool name, and it can be used to make some really rad shoes.

also it means a bunch of stuff, just thrown together, sort of.

except that the word i was thinking of there is hodge podge. but that's awfully similar, when you think about it.

mod posh.

it's like mod podge, only more posh. awfully mod and super posh. very sixties like, you see.

also it's the icon journal of the one and only

it's still a bunch of stuff thrown together. it's music, and it's tv, and it's movies, and it's other stuff too.

and it's not really very gooey anymore. a little, maybe.

and it doesn't make rad shoes.

the setup.

there really is no setup.

i post icons as i make them, mostly. i look at my icons and i realize that wow, it's been a while since i posted. and so i post whatever i have.

i might also post resources like textures and brushes, or larger graphics like headers, friends-only banners, and desktops. i make those things for myself, so if i seem to have a few that i like, it's conceivable that i might post them.

the first posts in the journal will actually be organized, because they will contain all the icons i've already made, so they're divided by subject matter.

all posts will be in the memories by subject matter, so use the memories when you're looking for something specific.

the rules.

take, comment, credit.

all icons in this journal are up for grabs. feel free to take them and use them. it makes me happy.

you don't have to friend the journal, but i would think it was spiffy if you did. i don't post anything but icons and tutorials in here, so i would recommend friending it if you like my icons.

it'd be really nifty if you'd comment on the entry and let me know what you're taking. it's not a rule, i won't eat you if you don't, but it makes me happy, and it helps me out to see what people like.

definitely credit. that's just the cool thing to do. i don't really care how you credit, but please don't use the icons without crediting me somehow. you can credit either

modposh or

plasticpepper. and really, it's not like i'm gonna hunt you down if you don't put my name there. i probably won't even know. i would appreciate it, though, and so will other people who might like the icons.

however, if you take credit for my work yourself, that's a different story than just not giving me credit, and if i find out about that i will come find you and at least leave you some comments of increasing hostility. or something.

banners.

the lost banners i post are for use at lost-forum.com. if you want to use one there, a little line of credit in your sig will do, credit plasticpepper, as that's my username there. skaters, you can just say mellie if you want.

lost-forum people, if you want to use icons as avatars there, i'd be quite flattered, really. same thing goes as far as credit.

if you want to use a banner at some other forum, that's cool too, but i do ask that you let me know where you're using it. i'll totally say that it's fine, but i would like to know, mostly just for my own curiosity.

requests.

generally speaking, yes, i do requests.

that said, it's gotta be something i know something about or can at least tolerate. i don't want to icon movies i haven't seen because how will i know what sort of mood to go for and stuff? also, i usually work from my own screencaps of movies. if it's a movie i've already capped from, or one i own and can cap, i'm totally willing to make icons. if i haven't seen it but i sort of want to, i'll probably add it to my netflix queue, so when it gets to me i could make icons.

with tv shows, i'm usually working from caps or other images that i find online, so i'll do icons from anything that i actually watch.

with musical stuff, i almost always cap music videos, so as long as what you want is something i can at least tolerate, i'll go watch videos and cap for icons. if what you want is something that i've already iconned before (check the memories or interests) then it's a sure thing i'll be willing to do more.

so generally speaking, just go ahead and ask me if there's something you're thinking about that you'd like icons/graphics of.

if you want to make a request, your best bet is probably to just give me the fandom or whatever and i'll make a batch, rather than giving me a specific icon you want, but if there is something very specific you want, feel free to ask for that too.

i'm usually extremely bored and looking for things to make, so don't hesitate to make requests.

all this applies to headers, friends only banners, desktops, and the like too.

please please please ask if you want to know. if you've got some specific technique question, like what font is that, or how did you make the text look like that, or how did you get that coloring, feel free to just ask your question in a comment. if you're wondering about the whole icon, ask me for a tutorial and i'd be happy to oblige.

however, i can't promise to remember how i did stuff. i'll do my best, but i do tend to forget, so i might not be able to be too helpful.
